I

Buddha, Jesus—often revered as deities—and countless philosophers... their teachings are ultimately diverse interpretations of a single subject. They were all interpreting the concept of "I."

The world has a wicked habit of distancing me from myself. We simply accept this as inevitable, operating under the premise that human beings are inherently flawed.

From a young age, we are conditioned to evaluate ourselves through the lens of others' perceptions. And we live alongside everyone else as if this is perfectly normal. We just follow the herd without a hint of resistance. We go through life without spending even a single second asking ourselves who we truly are. We just blindly believe that this is what life is.

Last year, I entered Samjae—the traditional three-year cycle of misfortune. This year is its second phase, Nul-samjae. Since last year, I have been constantly asking myself who on earth I am. It is a question I first asked at eighteen, and I am asking it still. It seems I have yet to find the answer...

Unorganized, clumsy, and impossible to articulate in words, a riddle known only to my own heart cries out, begging for an answer. Yet, there is no Bodhi tree for me to sit beneath...

Right now, I live planning for two years down the road. No matter what happens, I will dedicate these next two years entirely to my goal.

Having already realized that others are fundamentally indifferent to me, I pay little mind to their opinions.

This is solely my path.

When these two years pass, another goal will surely emerge. As is always the case, acquiring what one desires is inevitably followed by a sense of emptiness. To erase that void, I will set yet another goal.

However, the journey of pushing through these next two years will serve as a crucial chapter in the process of finding myself.

A world conceived solely by my own thoughts, My very own playground... Exclusively, "I."
