Lucid Sanity

When the internet first emerged, everyone thought the world would become closer. But we don't even know who lives next door, nor do we care. We simply get enraged at some psycho with brightly dyed hair protesting climate change somewhere in Europe. Who cares who lives next door!

This planet we live on has been around for 5 billion years. A staggering 5 billion years! It has endured things far more horrific than plastic or humanity. This planet knows exactly how to heal itself without taking orders from a species that has only been around for a mere 300,000 years, let alone needing help with natural phenomena.

Humans require stimulation. We feed and grow on it. People simply love to stand in opposition to something. That is why there is always a fight between two sides. What they are fighting for doesn't even matter. The only thing that matters is the sheer fact that they are on the opposing side, just for the sake of opposing.

Humanity fabricated religion as the greatest story in history. The problem is that interpretations of that story vary wildly. And so, humans wage wars and slaughter one another just to prove their interpretation is the right one.

The clever ones who figured out human behavior devised a system to control them. First, they build a company to make money; then, they build a country to make even more money; and ultimately, they create a religion. Because religion is a story that makes everyone willingly open their wallets with open arms. Plus, it’s tax-free. Hallelujah! The clever ones have finally seized control. 'Control.'

Ever since the distant past when humans first walked the earth, we have all been living under the systems built by these clever ones. That is human nature. We must be controlled. Those who refuse to be controlled negatively impact the bottom line (the spreadsheets) and must therefore be eliminated. Just conform, and everything will be fine. Understood?

Eventually, a new breed of clever ones always emerges. They possess a new vision for making money. And so, the baton of control is passed to them. It is an endless cycle.

The United States is the greatest nation on this planet. The reason is that they have the 'American Dream.' If you have vision and work hard, you too can join the ranks of the 'controllers.' They make no secret of this. It is pure capitalism.

Naturally, then, the opposite side must also exist~! The 'controlled.' Probably 90% of all people fall into this category. They lack the sufficient wealth or intellect to wage a battle. The controllers have pushed them far out of reach to prevent them from ever approaching their kingdom. The controllers view the controlled as mere cattle, wishing only to manufacture enough entertainment and food to keep their bellies full.

But as technology advanced and time passed, the masses have succumbed to such stupidity that they have lost even the capacity for 'common sense,' allowing the clever ones to tighten their grip on the reins of control. As Andy Warhol said, the masses merely scream for their '15 minutes of fame.' Because today, when people's attention spans have shrunk to mere seconds, 15 minutes is worth millions of dollars.

This is my overall impression of the world. I am neither on the controlling side nor the controlled side. I am simply living my life within the timeframe allotted to me, a span called 'life.' My only thought is: "If I do not exist, nothing exists!" People fail to grasp this simple concept.

The existence of a single, sane mind creates the world surrounding that person. So, if you die, what happens to the world you created? It dies with you. Of course, the rest of the world will continue to evolve, but how would you know? You are no longer on this earth. Where is your world?

Nobody knows.

They have already penned the tale of the reincarnation of a man named Jesus. Isn't human cunning truly astonishing! Over two thousand years of history, that belief has taken deep root in the human psyche. To stand against this concept is akin to slipping a noose around your own neck.

Whether humanity truly needs the existence of a God, or whether such a being has the power to sustain us, remains to be seen. By the time that becomes clear, I will already be gone from this world...

This is where my art is born. For the past 50 years, I have asked myself who on earth I am, yet I have never received a satisfying answer. It has been a very long time. In my youth, I thought living well without suffering was the very essence of my life's confidence. Then, I woke up to the reality of human existence and everything that accompanies it. It was a complete mess. So, I dug deeper. Who the fuck am I? Throughout this journey, blood, sweat, tears, and mind-shattering agony followed.

Now, I have reached the age of reason. Actually, I think I knew it all along. That I am merely a wanderer passing through my allotted time. So, I seek out the traces left behind by humanity and nature, forge art from them, and leave my own footprints. And through the work I create, I hope that someone might discover a reflection of themselves within it.

We are all just stopping by on this earth for a very brief moment; it is like a rental. We possess nothing for eternity, and we can take nothing with us when we die. We merely labor under the illusion of ownership because that is what we were taught by the clever ones in control. We are just a flock of vultures endlessly fighting over the scraps left by the dead. This is all human nature.

Once you understand how the world truly operates in reality, it is better to simply enjoy your time on this earth. If you can, just be yourself. That is a world only you can create. Do not be swayed by others telling you what to do; walk your own path.

In my world, I create art. That is my world, one I have created during this brief flicker of time called 'life.'
